Our lab went apple picking at Beak and Skiff. It’s the #1 ranked apple orchard (according to USA today) in the USA!

We decided to take a group photo because it is Nyaari’s last day of her summer research fellowship. She crushed it this summer and will be continuing her proteomics project as she starts her second year of medical school.

Asil presents her summer undergraduate research project at Basic Science Day. Asil was awarded the Robert A Clark biotechnology student research award from Syracuse University. She figured out how to do expansion microscopy on the retina — very cool!

The Spencer Lab receives a grant from the E. Matilda Ziegler Foundation for the Blind totaling $250,000. We are excited and grateful!
